Oak Shavings Stout

Sterilized Oak Toasted Chips

Oak being the universal wood for aging alcohol I've split a stout brew into two beers. One to be aged the other served as-is. The everyday drinker has a rather dry profile with sweet finish. The hopping was moderate so I've decided against dry hopping. The aged beer will sit on oak shavings which have been oven-toasted and boiled with original wort. After the oak chips the beer shall return mid-fall with hints of coconut and vanilla.
